šŸˆ Alabama Football: Sims, Coker and the disturbing underlying tone of the QB battle

One thing I never hear the talking heads bringing up is the primary benefit of having two able and ready quarterbacks - every team Bama plays will have to dedicate practice and film time to both. They'll have to split their time, personnel groupings, defensive strategies and any and everything else prepping for different quarterbacks and offensive plays. Why would Saban and Kiffin not want to give opposing defensive coordinators heartburn?

I believe race is what this asshole is referring to and I also believe like Rick said "once they put on that uni crimson is all I see". I, like others, trust the judgement of CNS because he has a proven track record and has earned my trust, not that he cares about that. Just win baby.

I dont think its the author of that article that is bringing race into the issue, the fans are. Just listen to the Finebaum show, and he is fanning the flames of this sh*t and its becoming infuriating to me. I think 90% of Alabama talk today on that show has been about how ESPN has an agenda to make Blake Sims look like the better QB because he is black and the rest of the media is doing the same. Legit that is what MULTIPLE calls have been about. I am actually pretty ashamed that there is people that are doing and saying this type of stuff in 2014, even if those idiots are the minority. They are a very loud minority right now.

Sometimes I like Finebaum, especially his interviews, but the way he fans the flames really gets to me. And this racial thing really touches a nerve with me. Its something that has been a bad stain on our state and Alabama as a school/team in the past and allowing this loud minority to say some of the things they are on national TV is really pissing me off.

Finebaum is nothing more than an opportunistic troll trying to stir up as much controversy as possible. I think you folks would be a lot better off by tuning him out.

Seems like he's trying to make a living. Blame the callers and listeners, not him. I don't get worked up over people being idiots, they're not my responsibility

Seems like he is making a living on the backs of callers and listeners and their unadulterated ignorance. In my opinion, that's shameful but hey, if exploitation of ignorance is your game, Paul Finebaum is your huckleberry. I don't get worked up over idiots just those who argue for the sake of argument.

Finebaum is an excellent interviewer, and in his younger days he was an excellent investigative reporter. I would watch/listen if I it were just interviews. Phyllis, Tammy, et al cause brain damage with sustained exposure.

I agree with you about him being a good interviewer and have read him since at least 1980 and he was a great columnist in my opinion. Those were the days when good print media mattered. He and Alf Van Hoose were my favorite writers then. Again, his callers make up a majority of what I was talking about above and his handling of them. It's ignorance for everyone to hear, now see. I am embarrassed by it and it's not my monkeys and not my circus either. It represents to the entire nation what BAMA fans are and it's despicable.

OK,

Been watching this thread for a few days now and no one wants chooses to talk football?

Look at the second clip.

Someone, PLEASE someone, tell me how he's not staring down the receiver?

Bottom line?

Bullshit review.

PS: some tweet this thread

@TerryP, at your request, I went back and actually looked at the clips. What the guy stated as using his eyes to move the secondary was right. Blake looked left immediately, back to the right to pick DeAndrew coming across, and then throwing to him on the left boundary. He led the safety over to the wide open area. WVU looked as if they were playing a 2 deep man under scheme on that snap.
On the second clip on Jake, he says that Jake should've hit the TE on the skinny post. Problem with that, the umpire was right in throwing lane. Jake possibly could've pulled the trigger on the break but TE didn't whip his head around. The zone dropping LB on the other side of the umpire makes the pick or deflection if Jake makes the throw once TE cleared the umpire.

@uagrad93 I don't doubt you, but have to say it didn't look that way to me when I looked at the .gif. Now, I'll admit I was on my tablet and my phone doesn't do it justice either...will look on a PC later on this afternoon.
