Alabama scored another impressive recruiting class for next year, but they chose an interesting way to announce it...

Taking to social media on Wednesday, the Crimson Tide revealed their 2025 Signing Day roster through commissioned portraits by artist Tyler Upchurch — whose done work for publications such as Sports Illustrated and SLAM Magazine.

However, they weren't received too well by Tuscaloosa's fan base

"What up with the melting faces?" a user asked.

"This is creepy af," another said.

"Thankful for the commits but man these graphics are bad."

"Bama shouldn't be in the playoff this is proof," a fan commented.

"Come be a nameless face at Bama!"

"This is the worst NSD graphic," Ricky L. Green replied. "Gotta do better."

"Is Alabama's creative director some 48 year old dude who just loved playing GoldenEye on N64 in the 1990s?" another user wondered.

"Ngl this is weird as hell lmaoooo," Courtney McKinney laughed.

"Saban would've never allowed this nonsense."

Unfortunately for Kalen DeBoer and Co. their stellar class is being outshined by the reaction to their abstract player art... which is never a good thing.

At least Bama fans can take solace in knowing that they're headed to the College Football Playoff despite having three losses (two of which came against unranked opponents).

That's why they are called Creative teams... sometimes they hit, sometimes they miss. This time, it was a miss, IMO. But, I also don't particularly care that much. They (not just UA) oversaturate social media so much now with some of this stuff, that I've stopped paying attention to a lot of it. Like all those pre-game hype video from this season that were narrated by former players? I didn't watch a single one, and if given the choice, I'd rather watch the loss to Vandy or OU again than sit through them. Now, the videos they out out after a victory? I'm all in on those if they are shot and produced well.

I'll also say this. Personally, I preferred UA's old creative team. I thought they did a better job and had a good sense of humor with some of the stuff. One of the first things DeBoer did upon his arrival was let them go (fire, basically) and bring in this new team. That's fine and was totally his call to make. They just aren't as good, IMO. Also the old team found jobs at MSU, and unfortunately were fired again Wednesday night by the Bulldogs admin. Been a tough year for a couple of those guys. One of which is a friend of a friend and a really good dude.

It was a definite miss, and not one I like to see after some coaching missteps during the season. I get it, but kids and younger fanbase don't want this kind of crap. They want No Limit Soldier 90's album covers, not museum quality nft's.

Seemed stupid to me but I am not the generation they are likely trying to appeal to. Deboer has had some swing and misses in year one. This seems to me to be one of them. I say Deboer meaning his program and the people he has hired.

In fairness to DeBoer on all that, he knew nothing of the previous creative staff and he was "advised" to bring in this new creative staff (i.e. he green lit it) by someone that many on this board (and fans in general) hold in high regard. Basically, it was about everyone being on the same page, same message from the jump. I can't really fault him for that, I just think the guy in charge previously was really, really talented. He's also a good dude, but that's just a bonus (and not to say the new guys are not).

CKD has ever right to let go of and hire anyone he wants as he is the head man. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it does not. Even the GOAT had misses, mainly with regards to coordinators and a few position coaches. CNS quickly resolved it when he recognized the mistake.
