Its not a hot take to say don’t put our best players on special teams.. plenty of capable players on those sidelines.. so our best reciever don’t get a fucking targeting call on a kick off..and damn near cost the game.. or our best safety break his leg on a punt..

On the serious side, I like what I'm seeing on his coaching hires. Tons of HC coaching experience. Could be wrong, but it looks like the man knows what he's doing.

Seriously, he's hiring high quality coaches, but also hiring high quality people... a rarity these days in major college football. And Saban didn't have a bunch of saints on his staffs. DeBoer has been preaching relationships, making connections, etc. This staff is going to thrive on that. And they can also coach some football. Love the way this is shaping up...

Love the hires so far. Also, I'm fully on board for bringing in Nick Gentry to the defensive staff next season. Loved what hes been able to do since he's been a coach. Let's bring him on as something on the field. He's also a great recruiter, and has ties within the state.

I think he's a good coach, and could be a good addition to our staff. Nothing to do with him being a former player(that's just an extra plus). I can go into more detail if you want about why I think this.

Yeah if Tommy gets the job as HC the roach will go there.
I assume he means HC... He was on some lists by guys like Feldman.
