🏈 Alabama Football ....All I want for Christmas is...

When I was in school we went into CC for a basketball game against LSU after the game ended there was at least 3 inches of snow on the ground ended up with at least 6 inches shut the campus down for a few days. Oh the memories.

When I went to school we had a little bit of a snowstorm in Tuscaloosa and I was excited because I had a chemistry test the next day. Like a total fool, I called Rose Administration building and got the front desk secretary and asked her if the University was closed tomorrow. Her response in a sweet southern drawl has stuck with me for over 25 years...
“Honey, we ain’t shut this University down but twice - once when the yankees invaded and again when the Bear died. We’ll be open tomorrow.”

I went to class but no one else including the professor showed up. I’m sure things have changed since then, but that statement still cracks me up.

Tickets are the cheap part. Most hotels in town are requiring three night stays at $250 (minimum).

Be a baller and get comped at the casino. They offered us a free room, travel money, free food. All I had to do was get tickets, but the damn Tide Pride score was almost unattainable to get tickets. To the point where all the casino expenditures over the years wouldn't have made a dent in the donations to the school.

Could be worse...could have to fly to CA....add the flight cost...really an expensive trip.... could have got tics for the NC game inAZ for face value...
Just think...
Trip to Atlanta to open season
Trip to NO...
And another trip to Atlanta...
Pretty expensive following the TIDE
Bama fans lucky we ended at 4 ....NO aint that far..

I do hope we have the home field advantage this time. Not sure why the pundits think Bama has not done well at the Superdome. Perhaps they should concentrate on the big games that really matter these days. I remember the Penn State and the Arky games in back to back seasons. Still, think that 1979-80 undefeated team might have been coach Bryant's best all-around team.

But Debbie downer said you didn't win the last 3 there.
