After surviving Ole Miss, Alabama doesn't figure to be challenged this coming Saturday.
The Crimson Tide opened as a 43-point favorite to beat Kent State, according toVegasInsider.com. It's the biggest spread since Alabama was a 45-point favorite to beat Southern Miss in 2014.
The two will kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Nick Saban's alma mater is 1-2 with early losses to Penn State (33-13) and FCS North Carolina A&T (39-36). The Golden Flashes' first win came Saturday in a 27-7 final over Monmouth. They ran for 235 yards in the win, the most for Kent State in the last 11 games.
Kent State went 3-9 a year ago by losing the last five games of the season. Its last winning season came in 2012. The 11-3 record included an overtime loss to Northern Illinois in the MAC title game.
Alabama (3-0) last faced Kent State in 2011 with a season-opening 48-7 win.
