A Mobile-area pilot was flying his Cessna 421 to see the No. 1-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide host Ole Miss on Saturday in Tuscaloosa when he experienced engine trouble and landed his plane in a cotton field in Selma, according to WSFA 12 News.

WPMI Local 15 reported Monday there were four men on the plane, including Auburn fan John White-Spunner, who told NBC 15 the plan was to stop in Selma for barbecue when the second motor of the plane went out just moments after the first one. Spunner said the plane was 20 miles from the airport.
