🏈 Alabama defensive tackle signee Johnny Dwight gets qualifying waiver, set to enroll

One Alabama class of 2014 signee got some good news recently.

Rochelle, Ga., defensive tackle Johnny Dwight said he got a waiver from the NCAA after originally falling short on his graduation exam. The waiver will allow him to enroll for the second summer semester.

Dwight said he came up short on the social studies portion originally, but filed for a waiver. Now, he said he's good to go.

"I'm excited," said Dwight, who said he got approved last Thursday. "When I got the news that I got the waiver, I was ready to go there, but coach told me I had to wait until the second semester of summer school starts."

Dwight said that he expects Alabama coaches to play him at defensive tackle.

"I've just been running and trying to stay in shape," said Dwight, who said he's 6-foot-3 and around 300-305 pounds.

Dwight was rated No. 194 nationally by 247Sports and given 4 stars by that service,which first reported the news. He is a 3-star on the 247Sports composite.

Alabama is still waiting on two recruits - Northport running back Bo Scarbrough and Plant City, Fla., offensive lineman Montel McBride

Well get excited and pass your freaking classes. I mean, Social Studies is learning about this country, it's past, and the land, which should be the easiest out of any subject. You outta be forced to do good in Social Studies out if principle.
 
yeah but it's also the most boring (I'm an engineering grad, so I like math and science). All of the facts you have to memorize. Maybe he just doesn't have a good memory, I don't, but I understand how things work, so you apply those principals. Fact memorization doesn't mean you're smart, necessarily.

A LOT of that class has to do with how the teacher is in teaching the subject.

Bite your tongue! Math is the damn devil, naw seriously I think I may be mildly retarded when it comes to math. History and English were the easiest and funnest for me, Lit is currently my favorite. Like Western Civ too.
