⚾ 🥎 Alabama Defeats Florida, 3-0, to Complete Series Sweep

I'm watching how this plays out with one thing in mind, tournament seeding. If the tournament were played this weekend LSU would be looking at getting past Florida before they even consider reaching Saturday/semi-finals. While hte #1 seed would have to go through Tennessee, Bama is in better shape there because the Vols haven't seen any of the three in the circle this season. LSU, and Florida, will be seeing them the second time in a matter of a few weeks.

That's a big difference in my opinion. While I believe a regular season title would weigh heavily into an eighth (or higher) seed in the NCAA's I don't see a possibility they wouldn't put a team in that top eight with a regular and tourney title.—especially a SEC team.

Am I missing something in regards to your concerns? Throughout the season I have seen a very solid team. Fouts being out showed some vulnerability, but we still had a solid team. I don't see Kentucky being a threat. I see a 2-1 or sweep in our favor with LSU. Even with losing two of the six games I can't see us dropping past #8. Even the best teams drop a few games when they play long seasons in baseball and softball

Kinda fun to have some excitement conversations about softball....
Good! I've been following Bama softball closely for a long time....back to the days of playing games at Sokol.

I don't know. Yes. Maybe? No?

I'm still on the pitching aspect and in this instance talking about seeing Florida in the tournament. They're a team that can take advantage of the two.

Havent that long....but been to a bunch of games....and really enjoyed....
If I lived in ttown I would have season tickets....not go to every game but support...
Actually coached girls softball back in early 90s....was fun....

I saw that, and maybe it's because of my complete disdain for the barn that my first thought was to wonder how far off the face of the earth the barn has fallen since Meyers left.

I'll say that the Barn has wondered quite a bit. An old HS friend of mine has a step daughter in school there and she was added to the team this year after not having played the sport in 3 YEARS!!!!! Softball/baseball is A LOT of repetition and muscle memory, yet she "tries out" after 3 years away from the sport and makes it!!
