TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Athletics Power of Pink initiative, sponsored by Tuscaloosa Toyota, gets its spring events underway this weekend.
The No. 1 ranked Alabama softball team gets the spring Power of Pink schedule going on a day more known for the color green when its hosts Mississippi Saturday, March 17 (St. Patrickās Day) at 5 p.m. at Rhoads Stadium.
āAfter a week on the road, weāre so excited to return home to Rhoads Stadium and support this vital cause that means so much to our team,ā UA head softball coach Patrick Murphy said. āSo even though St. Patrickās Day is my favorite holiday, Alabama softball is very much looking forward to wearing pink this Saturday.ā
Power of Pink sponsor Tuscaloosa Toyota will be giving away pink t-shirts, a flat-screen television, an iPad, iPods, hats, headbands, umbrellas and Tervis Tumblers Saturday at softball.
