🏈 Alabama announces the list of speakers at its coaching clinic

Gundy on kissing player’s a$$, wore pro conservative news t shirt, apologized profusely because his star RB was offended, only to have offended OSU player opt out of the next season. Will never forget his facial expression as he witnessed “Tua to DSmith“ on 2nd and 26. “———- him and the horse he rode in on”.

I attended 2 clinics back in the Bill Curry era. Just as @UAgrad93 said, "good speakers and great food." I always enjoyed hearing Larry New the DL coach speak and would always attend his drills during practice.
The food got a little light during the Shula years, literally a hamburger being flipped on a grill behind the Bryant Conference Center by a GA and into a brown paper bag!!! Coach Saban really “upped the anty” with his feeding of the coaches!!
Coach New is a “blast from the past!” Coach Smith would often send us walk ons to other position groups when working against each other, WR/DB, RB/LBs, OL/DL. Once day, I had the “honor” of going with OL/DL and take snaps from center as his DL worked against the OL. Well, I would call the play and then carry out as if we were actually running the play. Coach New got pissed and yelled at me, “Just take the damn snap and stand there! I don’t give a shit about the play! I want my DL to have a target to get to!” Walk on transfer, Brent White from Colorado State took the next snap and Byron Holdbrooks hit him full force and landed on Brent’s throwing shoulder. It caused so much damage that Brent was operated on 2 days later and was out for the remainder of the year. I didn’t go back with the OL/DL grouping EVER again.

Mike Gundy more like this is what happens when you do not play with toughness and discipline and play in a league w/o defense.
I'd think almost all coaches look at Gundy's offensive approach and respect how he calls games. In the Big 12, Okie State is the SEC's Missouri. Those two schools aren't easy locations for recruiting; "come play here?"

I see the Mizzou analogy. Honestly when I think of OSU as a program they remind me of the Barn. Gundy runs that show and is part of that culture.
