A high school teammate of Tua Tagovailoa who previously played in the Pac-12 is now part of the Alabama football program.

Drew Kobayashi has joined the Crimson Tide as a walk-on.

A former three-star recruit, Kobayashi signed with California in 2016 but left the team in 2017 and went to Washington State as a walk-on.

Kobayashi left Washington State in May.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Kobayashi had 34 catches for 695 yards and four touchdowns as a senior at St. Louis High School in Hawaii in 2015 with Tagovailoa as his quarterback.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I don't expect much out of this. 3rd School in 3 years? Makes me wonder, why? Is this another Duron Carter issue where Saban is trying to help a kid get his crap together? I certainly have no problem with it, Saban has done this numerous times and the problem always takes care of itself. Kid either gets his crap together or gets gone. Leaving WSU (Leach and pass first, pass always, pass happy offense). You can't get on the field there? What makes you think your going to come to Bama and break in to the line-up with the depth that we have at receiver? I'm all for you coming but more importantly I hope that you are a better person for being a part of UA.
