Demetris Robertson, a 5-star athlete in the class of 2016 and one of Alabama's three class of 2016 commitments, has been ruled ineligible to participate in games by the Georgia High School Association.
Robertson transferred from Savannah Country Day to Savannah Christian at the beginning of the school year, but the GHSA ruled him ineligible under the organization's migrant student rule.
According to the Savannah Morning News, Robertson's guardian did not fully abandon the family's previous residence until Monday of this week. This was determined, according to the Savannah Morning News, because utility bills at the previous residence were not turned off until earlier this week.
Robertson's older brother and guardian Carlos told the News that they're seeking legal help to reinstate Demetris Robertson.
The GHSA will hear Robertson's appeal on Oct. 7.
