Newspaper scrapbook of Nick Saban's high school, college glory
Saban was All State in 3 sports in Class A - I think W Va. went A to AAA. He led his football AND baseball teams to state championships his senior year.
Interesting read in this dead period. My favorite part was this link, concerning his recruitment in football:

"Some big school is really missing out if they don't give Nick a chance," Earle Keener [Saban's football and baseball coach] said. "That kid has more heart than any I've ever seen in 20 years of coaching. All he knows how to do is beat you." "
The article goes on to talk about his baseball accomplishments and possible potential, but the writer concludes that "it's football that is foremost in Saban's future."
All in all, pretty prophetic I'd say. All he knows how to do is beat everyone for the last 15 years!
