Wasn't sure where to post this, but not surprising, but kind of surprising. Shane Beamer would not let his transfers play in the bowl game. "Hard No" he was quoted in saying. I can't recall at the moment, but I saw where some coaches aren't allowing it, but some are. I think you let the guys play if they want, in efforts of them honoring their seasonal commitment, but it shows a lot about their character to turn that opportunity down as another chance to showcase their abilities, practice with their teammates, and enjoy the festivities that come with a bowl game. It was nice of Saban to offer them that chance, but it also shows they quit on their teammates well before this.

@BamaFan334 he did give them a chance to play. But to me those guys quit the team. I see that those guy could waited till after the bowl game to transfer.

I can see both sides. I, myself would take the Beamer approach, you enter the portal you’re no longer part of the team unless you approach the staff and want out of the portal.

I like that myself I've decided. You can wait one or two more weeks to enter the portal. Just like Saban, he isn't letting coaches go until the season is over.
