AJ McCarron bruised a foot late in Alabama's first scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama coach Nick Saban said so before cautioning that it was no big deal.

He seemed to be telling the truth.

McCarron is showing no evidence of a bruised foot in the Crimson Tide's practice Monday morning, its first of two workouts of the day. No tape over a shoe. No limp. Nothing.

See for yourself in this video.

We sure have come a long way since the nay-sayers doubted AJ's ability. Now, a bruise makes headlines. He has been the rock. Imagine if you were in Auburn's shoes and only had one clear-cut starter in the last four years. Someone sure has an eye for high-school talent. Also, someone does not.
