AJ McCarron traded to Oakland (Vegas) Raiders

Welll shit!! Not that I was going to watch any NFL, but I like to keep up with our former guys!! Before anyone wants to jump thinking I’m being political or boycotting because of some stances over the National Anthem, I don’t care for the NFL period!! Been 10-15 years since I have even followed a team.

Well it was his last shot and it blew up, best he can hope for now is journeyman backup sad to see it go this way for AJ he tried hard, just couldn’t catch a break
I have to agree with you on this. This was AJ's big chance to be a starter in the NFL. If both the other two QB's continue to progress then I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills actually cut AJ.

Best of luck to AJ and his family..........

In the final season of his four-year rookie contract, McCarron had a base salary of $690,000 in 2017. NBC Sports reported McCarron agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract with the Bills that included another $6.5 million in available bonuses.
McCarron gets a signing bonus of $4 million, and he's also guaranteed to receive his 2018 base salary of $900,000, the report said. The 2018 portion of the contract also includes a $100,000 workout bonus, which is usually tied to attendance at the team's offseason program, making it money that McCarron is virtually certain to earn.
Right now, the second season of the contract calls for a $1.9 million base salary, with $1.1 million guaranteed if McCarron is injured and can't play. If McCarron is on the Bills' roster on the third day of the NFL's 2019 business year next March, he'll collect a $3 million bonus. McCarron's contract also contains a $100,000 workout bonus for 2019.

How much is AJ McCarron's new contract with the Buffalo Bills worth?

Dont watch .....because....of the National Anthem shit.... Am I being political...no those turds are....
And many more and more of our brothers dont watch either...plus its a boring game...

If we're confessing, it's not a product I care that much about. I seldom get through an entire game if I try to watch one. I really wish college football would beef up the Thursday night lineup. So many good games on Saturday you can't possibly watch them all. Hey, I would even watch the Pac 12 on Thursday, promise.

The NFL has too little Character and too many Characters.........

I watched the game and AJ just couldnt move the ball anyway. He was getting rushed every play. He got the whole first quarter and couldn't do anything. As soon as Josh Allen came in they started moving the ball. I wanted him to make it so bad too......Well...you can make a lot of money as a backup if they keep you around...All the best to him.

I have not been interested in pro football since the ‘85 Chicago Bears. More a factor of not being able to relate to a team rather than players. It is difficult to watch a game when just rooting for one player rather than a team, other than QB. I do watch high lights of numerous Alabama alums.

I too watched the 1st qtr and the Bills couldn't block the aggressive defense of the Browns. I do believe both teams send in all new folks in the 2nd Qtr but regardless AJ didn't have time to do much and they dayum sure couldn't run the ball at all.

Terrible break. He's just destined to be a backup for life... But TBH I always felt that was his calling. Nothing wrong with that... On a 2/10 mill contract with a smoking hot wife and 0 pressure now. It could be worse

One of my really good friends is both a staunch Bama and Bills fan. He told me a similar analysis the other night.

So i guess the idea is to get another doc to say you are good to go so that you can get more bonuses?? I guess if team doc says you are done...then you are capped at what you can do and therefore will earn less? Would that be the motivation to get another Doc to look at you....kind of the same deal as with the Bengals?

McCarron is good enough to stay on an NFL roster. I don't think his contract is heavy enough to scare the Bills off. He just needs to be healthy enough to at least hold a clipboard. Even if it is a hairline crack, I doubt that changes anything for this season. Jeff Rutledge did it forever.
