šŸ“” Agiye Hall was arrested Thurs night (suspended indefinitely.)

Officer Beck Leider wrote in his report:

Upon arrival, I observed Mr. Hall standing over the vehicle boot (located on the driver’s side front tire), and attempting to remove pieces from the boot with a stainless cross tire iron. Officer Converse informed me that he warned Mr. Hall several times that he would be charged with damaging University property, Mr. Hall had total disregard and continued to work on the vehicle boot. Mr. Hall was able to open the boot partially and believed it was enough to set him free. Mr. Hall put the tire iron back into the trunk of the vehicle, and attempted to drive away. Mr. Hall was quick to realize he had not defeated the vehicle boot and was not able to drive away.

Mr. Hall even backed up a little further and tried to take a running start at it. When Mr. Hall exhausted all efforts, he exited his vehicle and retrieved the tire iron from the trunk again. This time Mr. Hall began to beat the vehicle boot with the tire iron, causing extensive damage. Mr. Hall then put the tire iron back into the trunk of his vehicle, and once again attempted to drive away. Even though the vehicle boot was damaged, it still held the vehicle in place. Mr. Hall got the tire iron out a third time and began to beat the vehicle boot again, causing more damage. At this time I was informed by SGT. DeStasi to place Mr. Hall under arrest.

This kid is some piece of work!!

I seriously don’t understand how his personal flaws weren’t caught by Bama before signing him. Unlike a lot of coaches and programs, Saban recruits more than their talent. He talks often about the importance of recruiting character. So, I can’t imagine Hall’s unbelievable propensity for self grandiosity coupled with his propensity for self destruction only emerged when he stepped on campus. It seems maybe someone on the staff didn’t do a good job of checking out Hall’s character or lack thereof? And if I belonged on a staff looking into him as a possible transfer candidate from Texas, I’d look no farther than his ā€œbiggest regretā€ drivel and punt.

Mr. Pole Assassin.

In all fairness, the amount of contact between schools and players was severely restricted when he was being recruited. However, we also have to juxtapose that with Hall attending five different high schools before entering collegiate football—that's a red flag.

Not that hard to put on a front during limited interaction. Couple that with high school coaches willing to lie through their teeth for a kid and I can see how it happens. Also probably protected and coddled by his high school coaches. This kind of stuff probably happens more than we realize, he's just a more high profile individual that was at the top school under the top coach that loved to troll on social media that also then went to another chatty boasting school and made it a high profile change.

ā€œThe biggest mistake coaches make is taking borderline cases and trying to save them. I’m not talking about grades now, I’m talking about character. I want to know before a boy enrolls about his home life, and what his parents want him to be.ā€ Coach Bryant

Do we know anything about his High School coaches?

They probably teach P.E. or history...
Hey now!!! I resemble that remark!šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
Coaches will often overlook any problems if their athletic ability helps them. Coaches very well could’ve lied to Saban and staff about his character. Some will lie, thinking that they are actually helping the kid. I saw that firsthand!!! Had to get up and leave the room to keep from vomiting in my mouth! After the coach left, I had to ask, ā€œwhy in the Hell did you say that he was a good kid?ā€
