In Texas, vandalism or damage to another personās property is considered ācriminal mischiefā in Texas. In order to be convicted of criminal mischief, the defendant mustāve knowingly or intentionally damaged property belonging to another person, tampered with someone elseās property that caused significant loss or inconvenience, or ātaggedā or drew graffiti on someone elseās property.
The most common examples of criminal mischief include:
