🏈 Advice needed for first trip to Tusc.

Lots of people here to help you. Many live in T-town. My only advice is to start looking for a hotel when you get about 100 miles from Tuscaloosa, or maybe stay in B'ham. It'll save you some money.
 
I have only been a handfull of times myself and find something new each time I like to see or do.

Spend the $3 and see the Bear Bryant Museum, you wont be sorry.

Make sure to get to the Walk of Champions early so you get a good view.

If you are early enough, go to Dreamland

These are 3 of my most favorite memories in T-Town besides the game itself.
 
With kickoff at 11:21am, you'll have to hit Dreamland after the game. For a good spot at the walk of champions, you'll need to be in front of the stadium by at least 9:00am. If not earlier.

As for the drive, if I were you, I'd leave around 4am and take 82 out of Prattville all the way to Tuscaloosa. Either way you decide to go, when you get to 20/59, take 359 to Jack Warner Parkway and park north of the Stadium. It will make life tremendously easier if you are deciding to leave directly after the game. If you plan to stay around for a few hours after the game, if won't really matter where you park.
 
Everytime I have gone (I am from Orlando area and stay with family the night before the game near Lake Martin) I try to get there around 6 or 7 in the morning. I have always gotten my choice of parking going that early and plenty of time to see everything. BUT I have never been to a game as early as this one is set either.

Rollin...I'm across the bay in Milton. I take this route & it's much better than catching 59 in B'ham. Almost no traffic till you get to Skyland. It's about 4-4 1/2 hrs for me depending on stops.

Tickets will be on nearly every corner of University BLVD and Bryant Drive. For this game, you should easily be able to find $55 price range. If you wait until nearly kickoff and drive a hard bargain, you can get them very cheap.

Really just depends on where you'd like to sit. One piece of advice, don't get tickets in the 400 section(North Uppers). Not for your first game. If you have a little dough to spare, try to get tickets in the lower level or between CC-NN on the East Uppers and D-O on the west uppers.

Also, any tickets you get in the West Side uppers have the chair back seats. Much more comfortable than the bleachers.
 
The campus is a beautiful place to walk around and take in the sights. Use this to your advantage and plan on arriving hours early to avoid traffic.

I was there for the LSU game and stayed in B'Ham. We hung around the quad for about two hours after the game before we left. By that time the interstate traffic was cleared up and the ride was at highway speed.

Check these out for places to park, but my suggestion is to park at Central High on 15th and just walk over.
The quad is just a short walk from the staduim.

If you are wanting easy navigation directly after the game is over, from 359 take Jack Warner all the way down to McCorvey Drive. Where McCorvey runs into Jack Warner, there is a park area on the river that is a great place to park. It's a decent walk to the stadium straight up McCorvey, but it takes you through the student center (great Bama store there) and through the Quad to the stadium.

If you are planning on sticking around and enjoying the atmosphere after the game is over, I'd strongly suggest parking as close to the stadium as possible. That way you can avoid the walk and it still won't be hard to navigate your way out.
