šŸ“” Administrators and coaches feel the SEC will land at 9 conference games with a 3-6 format when Texas and Oklahoma join

How are they going to get two teams into the SECCG with 4 pods? I say just stick with the divisions. Send the barn to the east and put both Oklahoma and Texas in the West. Add one more SEC game. Boom. Done.

It would take 8 years to home and home the other division. And Auburn being in a different one than Bama never happens.

EDIT: I have to add that getting 2 teams to the SECCG with pods is easy. You have a rotating pod schedule.

Play every team home and home in 4 years. Years 1 and 2 Pods A and B are half of the SEC and play each other completely, and C and D are half and play each other completely. Years 3 and 4 Pods A and C are half the SEC and play each other anmd B and D are half and play each other.

Bama in Pod A

Year 1 - Bama plays POD A (3 games), POD B (4 games), Teams 1 and 2 in POD D - 5 home games
Year 2 - Bama plays POD A (3 games), POD B (4 games), Teams 1 and 2 in POD D - 4 home games
Year 3 - Bama plays POD A (3 games), POD C (4 games), Teams 3 and 4 in POD D - 5 home games
Year 4 - Bama plays POD A (3 games), POD C (4 games), Teams 3 and 4 in POD D - 4 home games

I am not sure Bama is going to get LSU and Tennessee. We may be lucky to get either of them.
To us old timers losing Tennessee is unacceptable. It’s right under Auburn in the hierarchy of important rivals for us. College football is changing too much too fast … and not in a good direction. If they rip out the last vestiges of storied traditions, they’ll lose a lot of fans like myself. At one time, I was a huge NFL fan who used to spend all day Sunday watching their games. That is until it became a soapbox for anti-American gyrations. Since that time, I only watch the Falcons occasionally and a couple of other games a season. I’m a rabid Bama fan who will probably always watch their games but that will be it. An NFL-lite league doesn’t much appeal to me.

Fully agree with this with one exception, screw the Barn. I have no respect for them so I would lose no sleep not playing them. Want happen because apparently I am the only one that thinks this way.

I don't want to play them every year either. I always tell people that Auburn wins are seen as something spectacular and even just coming close is a win for them. Bama wins are seen as expected and losses as the end of an era and usually happen due to fluke BS that winds up replayed over and over. Basically, it helps none to play them and can only hurt Bama.

I put it above Auburn myself, but I think Auburn is protected while Tennessee is not. I also think AU-UGA is unprotected because AU-Bama is safe. I do think there is a possibility Bama gets Auburn, Tennessee, and State but no way we get Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee.
