There are six active head coaches in BCS Playoff programs with a National Championship. Two of them are plating Monday night. Three of the other four have zero shot of ever making the playoffs. Reaction!?

My thoughts.

Jimbo is lucky to have one, Shameis should have been kicked off the team. Jimbo is in a much better spot to get another one...just one small problem, he's in the SEC West.
Mack has the best win of the bunch in my opinion, beating USC was a great game...arguably one of the best NC games in the last 20 years.
Urban will probably coach again, if his ego has a vote. Shelley will do her best to keep him from coaching again.
Les at Kansas will be lucky to win the state championship going forward. He's gonna have to compete against a NDSU coach going forward to win the state championship.

To me it's more a matter of who hasn't won a NC vs who has.

My apologies I was thinking Butch won a NC at Miami. When I went back to look at the year I realized they were 2nd in both polls in 2000.

I still believe that Jimbo is the only one of the other three with a chance to make the playoffs.

If you want to include the Colley Matrix, I guess you could give me partial credit for Scott Frost. But I don't want to be right that bad.

Jimbo won't have too much of a chance if he doesn't learn how to maintain a team. I think he is good at building a team but has not shown the focus required to maintain one yet. In the SEC West he will have to wait for his chance with other teams being down and that might take more than a few years.

That was a good Texas squad, but I see it very similar to Chizik's win with Cam. Singular effort by a tremendous athlete wins that TX game.
