if the plus one had been in effect this last go round, we would have played ok st correct? couldn't remember... i do remember it was some poor defenseless team though
If the plus one had been in play this past season, it would've been #1 LSU v #4 Stanford and #2 BAMA v #3 Ok State. Either way, BAMA and LSU would've been facing off and people would have still been griping about a rematch.

But Ark would have also have a claim that they should be number 4 because they only lost to Bama and LSU. To me part of the fun of College ball is all this. It is so subjective, I love it. (Ark is only team that had chance beating Bama or LSU in playoff. Stanford and OK State would have been ran off the field. I know that is subjective but I love saying it.)
I am going to watch the wording if they do go with the Plus1. You think there might be some consideration into saying "only two teams from one conference in the final four teams?"
I would think in a Plus1 there would be some kind of language trying to make sure it isn't an all SEC final or something, but I can't imagine Slive would allow that to happen either.

I think you're giving him to much pull in how this ends up working itself out. Remember, this is legislation proposed by Slive a few years ago that the very AD's and Pres.'s that are pushing it now were vehemently opposed to it then.
They'll want the credit; I see no way around that.

Good point. I forgot about Slive proposing this very thing just couple of years ago. I noticed the Big 10 all of a sudden talking about a conference playoff and weren't they against Slive's idea then? Do you think ESPN will have their hands on this too?

the best kinda of manipulation, let them think its their idea
as others suggest, I'd imagine they will try to block the SEC from stacking the Plus1, whether it be based on the number of teams that make it or the manner in which two teams in the same conference line up.
This is all about the seeding of the teams. This grease ball yankee can't getany of his teams into the big game any other way. The rest of the conferences are all gonna come with their own angle to try to get guranteed spots. The next proposal to hit the fan will be the six AQ winners with 2 at large. Slive better be on his A game or we will get jobbed.
