And for hell sakes, will you folks show people how to play defense? I am getting tired of these 50+ point bowl games! UW and Oregon both allowing a ridiculous amount of points and yards. Utah led the Pac 12 in defense by a mile in their first year. I really don't understand the lack of emphasis on run defense, feild position, etc. In this part of the country, most folks thought the first Bama LSU game was boring...I thought it was one of the better games I've ever seen.
Do me a favor: Show the country that (as always) defense wins championships! "Stop the run and run the ball" has been a mantra for coach Whittingham for over 20 years now, and I'd be willing to bet that Saban (and for that matter Bryant) would agree. No wonder the damned SEC wins the title every year: They remember that stopping touchdowns is just as important as scoring them!
