When he committed to the Barn a little while back, there was an uproar, and all the talk was that he demanded that he play RB and was given that opportunity at the barn and not bama, so I personally was not too worried about losing him b/c I felt that he wouldn't do too much damage, at his secondary position, to us. But now that he is back at Bama, where is he going to play? I just don't think CNS will let Brent determine where Brent plays, is there any word on this?

i am sure it doesn't take many carries against bama's D to find out if you want to be a running back or not.

probably be comparable to the time i hit edward schissum head up when playing highschool ball.. i realized i would never play college football at that point.

Touches at RB will be evaluated on film, with him right there. I'm guess is that he will soon see for himself where that is relative to the half dozen RBs that are already in place. Soon he will see if he has a shot or not.

Next, regardless of Defense of Offense he will see his first contact in a game on special teams. Certainly on kick coverage teams, but also potentially on the return teams. If he can return, then he earns his touches, if not then he earns his hits.

He has 5 to play 4, and the protential to be the most wealthy and famous person in his family tree, and all he has to do is be what he is built to be -- an All-American Strong Safety for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Those 4-5 years buys the kid a great deal of time to realize this, and then go earn it.

We all now have the option to breathe easy as it all plays out.
