The CHARADE that is college football...
...rolls right on with perhaps one of the most corrupt, unethical machines in the history of the United States (NCAA) in charge.
It is presented to the masses each week as a pure, wholesome enterprise. And much of the discussion each week for the last eleven years--that's over a decade--is boy oh boy who can beat Bama?
The answer, this year at least, is nobody. Absolutely nobody. Alabama is essentially a very, very, very, very bad NFL team. The NFL team that emerges once in a while and goes 0-16. Gets beat in record breaking fashion every Sunday but at the end of the day it is an NFL squad with a handful of athletes who are legitimate NFL stars. They are perhaps one of the worst NFL teams in history but nobody would deny they have the look of an NFL squad.
The problem? This team is playing against college football teams. Why are they superior to everyone else? Because they secured the #1 recruiting class a staggering nine years out of ten. That's remarkable. They have a license to operate with zero scrutiny from the governing body. Nine out of ten.
Meanwhile a program (Ole Miss) that demonstrated it could compete with this machine was completely demolished by the same governing body. **It should be noted Ole Miss admin and outside UM influential figures aided in this demolition**
Knowing all of this, why would you continue to participate and be a consumer of this charade? Perhaps you should all decide to find a new hobby or some other pleasure to pursue. Investing yourself emotionally in the prospect of Ole Miss sustaining long-term success in this sport is waste of time and energy. There are too many people who are extremely uncomfortable with the idea of Ole Miss being a consistent player in big time college football. And they will move heaven and earth to ensure it never happens
