Hightower isnt what he was prior to his injury...not that what he is now is bad...he just doesnt seem as quick...maybe im wrong. Nico Johnson made some very good plays and looks pretty dang good. Will Lowery has the heart of a damn lion...kid plays his azz off. Dre made a few poor decisions with the angles he took on downfield tackles...but also made some great plays....not to mention the int. Robert Lester played his azz off too....I may be partial as he is from my home town...but he is giving 110% on that field in my opinion.

Who is our go-to leader on the defense ??? is it Hightower or Barron ???? I havnt seen the body language out of either to show that they are the leader of the D. Obviously my comparison is being made to Ro and how he handled things on the field. Maybe I missed something.

Dareus was ineffective after his injury.

All this aside....One gutsy comeback.......helluva win on a very good Arky team.:td:

I could be wrong but it seems to me that Barron and Hightower are too busy getting the young guys in position to be able to play as fast and free as they are capable of playing. If they have to worry about someone elses responsibility they will not be as affective.

All in all I think they will play faster and faster as the season goes on.

Hightower does look a step slower but give him time. hes coming off a HORRIBLE knee injury. but damn Nico is playing great right now. did yall see the hit he put on one of the Pig receivers where he hit that lil dude so hard the ball went a good 10 feet up in the air? it was vicious.

I agree with you St. Augustide. They are playing a little slower due to the fact that they are trying to get everyone lined up right. I think they will be able to play faster as the seaon progresses due to the fact their confidence will rise in the younger guys.

I agree with you, but don't think this defense has a Rashad Johnson or Rolando McClain type personality. Not speaking talent wise, but purely leadership qualities. Someone will step up and it may be one of the younger players. It also may be next year when they do. Right now we need them to play their assignments correctly and we will be fine. As much as I would love to limit every opponent to two touchdowns or less, we can still win games if they don't thanks to the leadership and talent on the other side of the ball.
