There's only one team that has had more pass attempts against its defense than Alabama (117): Arkansas(119).

One team has less completions against their defense than Alabama (45); Vandy (44.) (UK has 45 as well.)

No team has a better percentage of passes defended/broken up against its defense than Bama: teams are averaging completing 38% of their attempts.

The 2.9 yards per pass attempt against Alabama’s defense leads the nation.

Arkansas leads the SEC in passing offense, total offense and scoring offense while Alabama leads the SEC in passing defense, total defense and scoring defense.

Alabama leads the SEC in yards per pass attempt on offense; just under 10 per play.

While the loser of this game will still have a shot at making the trip to ATL in December, the odds of that happening are very small. Only five teams have lost their opening conference game and made it to ATL. Arkansas is one of the five—2002 season where they lost to us but made it to ATL. We ended up that season 6-2 in SEC play, Arkansas was 4-4.

In our last four SEC losses, three teams had 20 pass attempts, one team had 22. This season Arkansas is averaging 37 pass attempts per game. A big disparity there in what they do and what it's taken to defeat Bama.

Somehow i don't think those stats for Arky will continue tomorrow...maybe pass attempts only. Not really great previous opponents for those padded stats

probably not, I don't see us breaking 500 total yards tomorrow.

I think both defenses will be successful early on, I know the Hogs want to stuff the run, will likely load the box to do so.

I think we'll see handful of big plays, but otherwise a defensive slug fest.
