Parking for People with Disabilities The University of Alabama provides a limited number of parking spaces for people with disabilities. For people who use a wheelchair, accessible parking is located at the lot on Wallace Wade Ave. (#1 on the www.uagameday.com parking map), the Communications Card Lot (#2 on the www.uagameday.com parking map) and the new wheelchair accessible parking lot located on the Southside of the Stadium at Calvary Baptist Church (#3 on the www.uagameday.com parking map). Parking in all of these lots will be FREE on A-Day. All other parking for people with disabilities is located at the Campus Drive Deck (Campus Drive Parking Deck at the Hackberry Lane and Campus Drive intersection). We are pleased that we will be able to offer more services at this location and more parking space is available to accommodate the fans. This deck serves at the hub for the Crimson Ride transit system. Restroom facilities are conveniently located in the Campus Drive Deck. Crimson Ride buses will transport fans from this location to the Quad for the festivities there. Bus transportation will begin running shuttles at the following times to the following locations:
  • To The Quad - 7 a.m. on Gameday
  • To Bryant-Denny Stadium - 3 hours prior to kickoff (11 a.m.)
Downtown Tuscaloosa Parking The Downtown Intermodal Facility will also be offered for public parking for A-Day and it is FREE OF CHARGE. This area is located downtown in and it is a shorter distance to the stadium than Lot A on campus. This parking deck has over 400 spaces and is located on 23rd Avenue between 6th and 7th St., just behind City Hall, between University Blvd and Bryant Dr. There are many restaurant and shopping options in the areas surrounding the parking deck. Tuscaloosa Transit will be running buses from this location, starting 3 hours prior to game time (11:00 AM). The cost to ride the bus (per trip):
  • Adults: $1
  • Children 3 and under: Free
  • Age 60 or over and people with disabilities: 50 cents
Click Here for more information from Tuscaloosa Transit The buses will remain running until 1 hour after the game. Or take the STADIUM STROLL (less than a 1 mile walk from the parking facility to Bryant Denny Stadium). Marked pedestrian paths will lead you from the parking facility to the stadium. In addition, there are many other parking lots and side-street parking spaces that are free of charge near the Intermodal Facility. You may park there and walk to the bus pick-up or take the Stadium Stroll to Bryant Denny Stadium.

[h=2]Traffic[/h]
Traffic Tip for A-Day
Prior to past A-Day games, we have seen a significant amount of traffic back up where I-459 merges onto I-20/59 in the Bessemer/McCalla area. Please prepare accordingly. Here are two possible alternates:
  • Avoid I-459 by driving through downtown Birmingham. You can merge onto I-20/59 here to take it all the way to Tuscaloosa.
  • On I-459, consider taking exit 1. From here, you can take CO Rd. 20 (Old Tuscaloosa Highway) and take an alternate on ramp to I-20/59 or merge onto Highway 216 (Old Birmingham Highway) which will go all the way to Tuscaloosa, eventually becoming 15th St.
Click Here for I-20/59 vs. I-459 Map.

Roadblocks will be put in place at 10:00 a.m. prior to the A-Day game.
