Kind of ironic that the cover of SI shows a missed call. We were taught, as early as park league, to never leave it up to the refs to decide a ball game. You will be sorely disappointed. This was re-emphasized in middle school and high school. We lived it last year on the final 2 plays of the game.

You can touch a facemask, you just can't grab it.

I will have to try and find them too. I'm thinking I'm going to have to go 40 miles south of me. Closest Book the Million is down that way!

i always hit up the local wal-mart (even though i can't stand shopping there). they usually have a display stand with all of them put out up front by the registers and then one in back where the other magazines are. when we won in 2009, they had a HUGE display that had about 6 different magazines on it. i bought 2 of each one. i like to get one to keep and read and then one to frame. i'm still missing a couple sports illustrated issues, though; the last 2 with BAMA on the cover from last year (aug 14 and dec 14). might have to hit up ebay for those.

and while i'm not a fan, like everyone else, of the collector's edition cover with Coach Saban on the cover wearing the hat, i'll still get it sinice i'm a completionist. not sure if i'll get one to frame though. that thing is just.....tacky.

Is that cheaper than going to the SI store and buying back issues? I assume that would be a good starting point for older editions.

the only one from last year they have as a physical copy is the one from december. the other one is digital only (says it's out of print). and the physical copy from december is $15.99. pretty sure i can find it cheaper on ebay, even with shipping.

i wish they'd do more like this...

SI PRESENTS: ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE 2009 CHAMPIONS | Sports Illustrated Back Issues Store

i've got the 2 they did, but i'd like one for each commemorative edition they release.
