Good write up. I'm really neutral on these guys. I do think they kept the best of the 3 Daves.


I really wish they would pair Franklin and Gottfried again. Hearing their voices on Saturday night is like BBQ on the fourth of July. It's just the way it is supposed to be. I always liked Sean McDonough that used to do the CBS gig with Vern. I think McDonough and Gottfried would be a great pair for the second SEC Saturday night game.
 
Very good article. Although the three Dave's have pissed me off on more than one occasion, walking through the house on a Saturday morning and hearing their voices is something I looked forward to. Not because I enjoyed their broadcast, but because it's the way I started many, many Saturday mornings in the fall.

Rarely did I learn anything from their 30 minute spot on Saturday mornings. But, there is no escaping the memories of hearing those guys do our early games.

At least they went out on a strong note with Bama football considering they had the Bama vs UT game this past season.

You are thinking of 2007. The textbook scandal game. Last season ESPN had the Bama vs UT game.
