🏈 9-4

So we are going to cash it in against MSU and the Barn? We could finish with a 10-2 regular season record and go and win the bowl game. 11-2 isn't the undefeated season we all wanted but it sure as hell is better than the Shula years. We all have got to understand that while we have reloaded with talent, we didn't reload with experience all of those 9 spots we lost on defense. This is a mere hiccup in the PROCESS.

Defense will be better next year. Offense should be more explosive next year and I believe we will have more turnovers as well. High risk/High reward. AJ and the new recievers are gonna have something to prove like last years team.

This isn't a few years ago, so 9-4 won't cut it. This team has two, count them - two, number one ranked recruiting classes playing and a number five. This team has been poorly coached. 9-4 is what gets coaches fired at Alabama.

That being said, the staff should begin working on next year. Ingram cannot win the Heisman; let others who will be playing next year begin to get experience. Mac's streak is long gone; McCarron needs the meaningful reps. Go right on down the line and work for next year, because this team's goals are out the window, all of them. The collection of older players obviously provides no leadership, because this group has no heart. Oh, and go out and buy Running an Offense for Dummies for our offensive coaches and let them read the chapter on play calling.
idiots like this is what runs off good coaches!

To be fairly optimistic, there is still a chance we win the west, though it is very slim.

Auburn would have to lose to Georgia, (which I highly doubt will happen) and Alabama. Meanwhile LSU would have to lose to Arkansas. Then, if I'm blindly correct, there should be a 3 or 4-way tie in the west.

This is a very low chance though. On the other hand, benching McElroy to get McCarron experience is absurd. We still have plenty to aim for this season, including playing a good team in a bowl game.

In my opinion; Alabama, LSU, Miss St, and Auburn are 4 of the best and most equal teams in the country. All games between these 4 have been close.

I think there is a very good chance Alabama takes out Miss St, and a chance that we rewrite the laws of Newton.

That would be the best case scenario in my opinion. Alabama takes out Auburn, and hopefully Auburn could still make it to the national title... although with such a late loss, regardless to who it is, and the way TCU has been playing defense and winning over voters... it is unlikely.

If so, then so much for SEC keeping their national championship streak alive; Alabama beating Auburn is much more important- 365 days of bragging rights.

Who honestly expected to win the NC again this year. I know I was hoping, but it rarely happens. We knew going into the season that the front 7 on defense would have to hide our secondary and unfortunately that has not happened. We have lost two regular season games in three years and people want to give up on the season and fire the coach. I really do not understand that logic.
Think about how much better the defense will be next year now that they have some experience. I think the offense will be just fine also, the O-line will be stronger and we will bust more runs like we seen last year.
Saban did not forget how to coach in one year. With the youth of this team I say he has done a heck of a job.

Dipwads like you accept mediocrity. The truth hurts doesn't it. This coaching staff is terrible right now. This reminds me of the way Bama played right before the recruiting scandal broke and the Tide was "staring down the barrel of a gun". Yuck it up big boy. There is trouble, and it is easy to see. This bunch will be lucky to be 9-4 at the end of the year.

By the way, I appreciate your feeling that I have enough influence to run off coaches at Alabama. I have about as much influence as you do... NONE.

Chief, I know that some people on this thread on ticked off that we didn't win (2 games) that we should have won. But, do you honestly think we have a terrible coaching staff? My goodness, we won every single regular season game for two full seasons prior to losing two. The run we've had matches and in some cases even exceeds what Bryant was able to do during his heyday. Did you call for Bryant's head when Miss. St. beat us in 1980 - coming off of 2 NC? It happens. Perhaps you should consider reeling in your expectations just a little.

Someone said that kicking off people who complain would make this place "like Tidefans". Agreed.

I stand corrected. Hence my online name. We have to have a place to vent out some frustrations, but to not even have the common sense to know that a season with a couple of losses doesn't warrant a head-hunting coaching change is just silliness. I knew that Bama wasn't going to roll through the year unphased. I thought the SC game would be a trap, and it was. I honestly thought Florida might get us, and I also leaned toward a loss at Arkansas, though not as much as I thought SC and LSU would be better. Also thought that Ole Miss would be more of a challenge than it was. Not that it was easy.

Actually, this team has probably over-achieved to my expectations this year. Yep. Again, after winning every single regular season game for 2 solid years, and losing only the 08 SEC title and 09 Sugar, I KNEW we couldn't go undefeated. I really expected it to come, just thought we might lose 1 more than we have so far. Now, a loss to State this weekend will hurt my feelings a little (like anyone cares), and of course no one wants to lose to those Tiggers from Plainsville. I'll take 9-3 as a success at this point, and 10-2 with a win over Auburn deserves an "atta-boy" for this team and it's coaches.

Let me rephrase my statement ... it is idiots with power who run off good coaches.

lol dude you're an idiot.

Dont you realize we have 9 new starters on defense? There's only 11 on the field at a time, if you didn't know..

Also, our coaching staff isn't like Oregons where we go all out every drive to try to score a touchdown. We play conservative a lot, trying to avoid turnovers, run the clock, with our purpose only to win the game, regardless of what the score is.

I'm sure our coaching staff wasn't expecting McElroy to fumble on the game defining drive.

And I believe we showed how easily we could score on LSU at the end of the game, on our last TD drive.

That was when we finally opened up our playbook and started playing aggressive.

Every Bama fan knows we could have easily beat LSU.

I'm not gon waste anymore time on you though. I just woke up.

For all the Bama Fans that have given up on this year, You're a Quitter! We have 3 games left and last time I checked the score is 0-0 at kick off! We can win and can stop newton. You can have the 10 best coaches on the sideline, Hell you can have Coach Bryant and Coach Saban and Coach Stalling s coaching a highly talented team all on the field together and if the players don't have the Will, the Want or The Heart there's not much more to be said! And you can't open it up if no one executes plays the way they are taught...To all the under classmen thinking about heading to the Pros early....Don't do it...your butts would have been cut weeks ago! For the onesthat leave early they will forever regret the effort put forth in their final year at Bama!

Roll Tide Roll!
