🏈 84k aint bad.....considering what LSU had (OUCH!)

LSU considered everything short of a human sacrifice,

They shouldve went with the human sacrifice.

Spring football is not real football, and LSU fans know this. That's why they're just better.

LSU has the best football fans in the world because they have such discriminating taste. Football is about winning and losing, and there is no real winner or loser in a spring game. Spring football is not good enough for the LSU fan. When you stage the absolute best fall Saturdays around, spring flings are meaningless.

Let Alabama fans flock to spring games. Maybe they're just too one dimensional. Maybe they have football on the brain too many months out of the year. Guys, spend a little time away from it, and you'll enjoy it that much more next fall.

Maybe there's just more to do in Louisiana every weekend in the spring.

Paraphrase: We cant come close to the SEC in terms of spring game attendance, so to compensate, I shall now give a halfbaked reason on why our lack of passion for our football program actually makes us the best football fans in the country. We may have induced vomiting by choking in an epic manner, but if we put enough seasoning on it, itll taste better than that steak they're enjoying.

Also, I am glad Saban and Alabama came up again, thats new for an LSU fan.

Irony. First they cry because they lose Saban, who they want. Then Saban preaches everyone being a champion in everything they do (i.e. fans show up for spring games). Third, they get outclassed by the very thing they riticule.

The write stresses that numbers are irrelavent, then takes a poke at Bama in pointing out that our numbers are lower than they were two years ago.

"Football is about winning games" he writes? No games are won on namtional signing day, yet they throw a party for that (complete with profanity for the kiddies).

Sad. Just sad.

Just another sign that LSU is on the downslope as far as their run is concerned. This season is pivitol for them. Flownder again and the old LSU culture might be back.

How is this different that the proverbial Jilted Fat Chick excuse. (i.e. "I guess if you like the 6'0" Blond CoEds with legs up to her arm pits, and perky ;)s types you can go on and be shallow like that. But REAL men prefer their women with missing teeth, head lice, and back hair.")

The author of this 'article' is just sour about his fans being fickle.

They don't even sell out all of their home games every year. How pathetic.

Glenn Guilbeau sucked when he was with the Baton Rouge Morning Advocate and he still sucks.

Btw, I was in Ohoho (Ohio for the uninitiated) last week and saw signs advertising their spring game. And, they're charging, get this, $5 a head admissions. How 'bout them Buckeyes!

What's up with Reger's title or is it just me?

CP,

Glenn Guilbeau is a "gig" . . . that's Cajun talk for "tool," btw.

I read that only 20,000 Tiger faithful showed up for their spring game because last Saturday was also officially Nutria Day in Louisiana, and most folks were out celebrating one of the state's most important staples.

Also heard that many Corndogs thought it wasn't very practical to go because, as soon as either Tiger team fell behind in the 3rd quarter, it would mean it was time for them (fans) to be heading for the exits.

This guy is a tool. Had LSWho had say 90,000 people at their spring game then he would've went on and on about how they had more fans than Bama, but because all those corndog fans went swimming in the swamp instead of going to the spring game then he says well, by golly it's no big deal spring football isn't football....gimme a break.

Pathetic just pathetic.

It is currently the second largest attendance at a Div-1A (that's right, I use the old designation and always will) collegiate football scrimmage game.
