Just days after being arrested for disorderly conduct, Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche has been named in a lawsuit along with his younger brother Robert for their alleged involvement in a fight at an Ole Miss fraternity house in 2013, according to a report from Fox Sports.

The Nkemdiche brothers have been sued for battery, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The plaintiff, a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity at Ole Miss, is seeking two million dollars in damages. The brothers have 30 days to file a responsive pleading to the lawsuit once they are served.

The lawsuit alleges that Denzel punched the plaintiff in the back of the head without provocation and that Robert, along with several other unidentified football players, began kicking and stomping on the plaintiff on the ground. The lawsuit also claims that after losing consciousness for 12 to 15 minutes, the plaintiff began convulsing and was taken to the emergency room where he was treated for severe head injuries.
The Ole Miss athletic department issued a statement to Fox Sports about the suit, stating:

"When this alleged incident occurred, the proper authorities investigated the matter and could find no evidence of wrong-doing related to Denzel and Robert Nkemdiche or any other members of our football program. This is a personal matter for them and we will support Denzel and Robert while they defend themselves in this civil case."

My experience, there are guys who fight with fists and those who fight with pens. I've known many of folks who resort to bringing lawyers into the mix when their mouths get them into something their fists can't get them out of. Mommy and daddy's money usually influence one more than the other.

Not defending the Ole Miss players here because you have to refrain yourself from stupidity, but I'm sure there was a lot of alcohol involved, and no offense to anyone in here that is and/or from a fraternity, but typically they're all douches. Typical frat boy is trying to impress everyone, showing how much of a bad ass he is to everyone, and picks a fight with the wrong guy. As a result, he usually gets his arse beat. The story says there was no provocation, so I'm guessing there was something personal. Either way, no reason a bunch of guys should jump someone else unless it is very serious.

Well I'm a KA and I can gaurantee you that's not what'll happen if anyone barks up this tree, but I do understand what you mean now that you clarfied it a little. Of course, with most of society that's the case, a lot of talkers, but few that'll put their fist in your mouth.
