🏈 #6 ?

Big IF here but if penatlies are simply cleaned up does that change your expectations?

I have been concerned about our secondary for years. We have ALWAYS been susceptible to the deep ball. Even with the NFL talent we have produced, Marlon Humphrey got torched regularly, as did Minkah, Averrett, and others not named Patrick Surtain II. The lack of pressure we got with this front seven is alarming to me. So no, I would have to say no it wouldn't change. Texas, Texas A&M, and now Tennessee have been rough in different areas. Blocking and secondary for Texas. Offensive line blocking, bad special teams, and uncertainty at QB against Texas A&M. Lack of pressure on defense, zero coverage ability, and lack of special teams against Tennessee show we are an undisciplined team all around. We have the talent to destroy everyone, but we all know talent is only a small piece of the final product. We are missing the mental side in a lot of players, and that is a huge piece of what is necessary.

Agree that is evident by the penalties so that is why I think cleaning up the penalties points to better discipline. Probably doesn't fix everything.

In this game what is the score if penatlies are cut in half?

I guess what I am fishing for is if this team cleans up the penatlies, which should be doable, they are really good. I can't argue that we have not seen this multiple times this year but I am hopeful they will get it fixed. Nothing says they will but we have seen it in the past under CNS. Not being a blind loyalist as you seem to think I am, just a real fan that wants this team to succeed. I believe it is possible. We will find out.

My answer to my question above about the score from my opinion is we win by `7-`14 points. Who else in the country would even be in a position to win this game with 17 penatlies? I do not think anyone would be but Bama.

Roll Tide gentelman on to the next one with hopefully better results.

We swap places with UTurd? If this is correct, not as bad as I thought.
AP poll doesn't mean crap. Let's see how the Playoff Ranking like us... with a near loss to aTm and a lucky rabbit foot against Texas... and a piss poor playing at times vs Arky, they may not see us in such a good light as the AP.

Regardless, win out and I would bet it turns out ok. Lose another and it'll be ugly.

If we win the West (which is very doable), I do not seeing us getting past Georgia. That's IF Georgia gets past UcheaT. However, if we play UcheaT again....I dunno. I could see it being hard for them to beat us again...especially away from Knoxville. Just hard to get a read. But Georgia, no. I don't see a win there.

The funny thing is that we still have a team that can win the National Championship. Even with as crappy as we play, penalties, mental lapses, injuries, and anything else, it takes a Herculean effort to beat us. And to think some folks don't think we have the players, or jimmies and joes as it was put.

I shudder to think about Ole Miss this year! If our D plays like they did against UT, Lane's team may have a field day against us.

I agree with you, but I also don't think they can put up 45 to match us. They have a better defense than they have trotted out in a long time, but Bryce has shown he can even eat up the best of the best (Georgia twice last year).
