📝 5-star CB Bama commit Minkah Fitzpatrick visits Penn State

According to Lions247 insider Sean Fitz, five-star cornerback and Alabama commitment Minkah Fitzpatrick is visiting Penn State today with Lions quarterback commitment Brandon Wimbush. Earlier this week, 247Sports national recruiting analyst Ryan Bartow reported Fitzpatrick was still hearing from several schools including the Nittany Lions.

"Alabama, Florida State, Miami, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and Penn State," Fitzpatrick told 247Sports.com.

However, he did not indicate where he would take official visits this fall and remains a solid commitment to Alabama at this point.

Last night Penn State added a commitment from Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph's four-star cornerback John Reid. He was the 19th commitment for the Nittany Lions and fourth recruit in the secondary to pledge to Penn State.

It's not unusual for players to take unofficial and official visits to other schools after making a commitment. The down side of the player doing this is that they may change their mind about their verbal.
