Long story short, in '97(?) I managed to get a hell of a deal on a set of the Burner Bubbles (1st edition of the Bubble line metal woods and a set of irons. I played with those until the Shula era ('03 or '04) when I went with Mizuno irons and custom built metal woods. A learned a lot playing with those Taylor Made clubs. A large part of why I went with the T-Zoid line were the things I didn't like about the TM irons.
I remember adding a matched gap wedge to that set. It was $119 at the time. I noticed TM's GW's start at $119 now. The Anser 2 I picked up was the same price. Their Sigma 2 runs $199 now.
A bigger price increase on specialty clubs, or add-on's if you will.
No. Not really. You can find a GOLFTEC in a lot of places around the world. It's not cheap with Ping. Ha, nothing is. $100 bucks or more. There's probably a place like it in Mobile.
