Taking a step back and looking at it this way... our defense held OU's offense to 17 points despite being on the field for almost 35 minutes. When I look at it that way, my first question is: Is our defense really as bad as some have made it out to be? Sure they had 257 rushing yards and that is horrendous, but the other side of the coin is that they only had 68 yards passing. At the end of the day it's all about points.

One of my biggest issues is the fact the we are so bad at making in-game adjustments. If the other team is totally selling out to stop Milroe (as Vandy and Tennessee did as well), why aren't we making adjustments to take advantage of that. If there is always a spy - or two - on him, then someone else is open.

But remember. They dropped a pass in endzone. Annd missed a fg. And fumbled near red zone. Our D was ....bad

Yes, we are bad. We do not tackle well at any position IMO. Our DL can penetrate but gives up huge yards on rushing plays and do not get to the QB. LB’s cover poorly and the DB’s cannot be expected to cover in man or zone forever.
