šŸˆ 3 of the all-time top QB recruits will take the field in 2020

Wasn't Russell Shepard recruited as like an all purplace athlete more so than a QB?
The recruiting services had him listed as both a Dual threat QB and an Athlete though I don't remember how that worked out....maybe ESPN is the one that had him as the Athlete? Can't recall.

He fit what Les Miles wanted at Quarterback to a "t." Miles was big on athletes playing quarterback versus having a quarterback who was also an athlete. Ryan Perrilloux was another great example.

That philosophy doomed him in the long run.

What is interesting is that of the 7 who have already left/graduated, none had success in the NFL. I think this just shows how large the gap is between college and pros. The gap is closing, but it's still pretty wide.

Speaks to the recruiting rankings in my opinion. Vince Young was the most successful of the bunch to date.

Luck, work ethic, and heart are the intangibles. Everyone has talent at that level.

Not to mention, the supply and demand issue. Supply vs demand...
