I think C-USA and Sunbelt are stepping stones, although some just languish there. I'm trying to remember which team, but it seems like one left either Sunbelt or C-USA to seek greater fortune, crashed and burned, then limped back to their original conference.

Memphis recently offered a bunch of money to the Big 12 to join. They were turned down, quickly. Within 24 hours they were posting X how proud they were to be in their current conference.

Its a great time to have a good run...like Cincinnati....and good support...
...maybe even a school in Texas moved up to pac10/12 whatever..Texas State...And
LaTech moved to Sun Belt...
