⚾ 🥎 2025 CWS -- LSU wins the national title

It was a defining moment for lot of people in the media/social circles as they were yelling, "choke" and I'm thinking "you've never had a ball hit like that at you."
I played little league for 4 years. I always played outfield (until the 1 time the coach had everyone on the team pitch at least once). And getting a line drive hit directly to you IS one of the hardest to catch. It's difficult to judge it correctly as there's no real arc to it so there's nothing to judge it against. Yes, the ball is getting bigger the closer it gets, but it's still do hard to judge when it's like that.

Yes, all of my experience came in little league, but I remember in my 4th year we were all bigger and it was technically called "minor league". And I remember a guy I went to school with being a pitcher for an opponent team. And he could throw HARD for a kid. But playing outfield in little league meant that you didn't get a whole lot of balls hit to you in the air. There were some, but most were grounders. And those that were line drives were damn near impossible to judge...especially for a little kid.

So yeah, for someone who's never played baseball, those idiots don't know what the hell they're talking about. Until they've been there, they need to keep their mouths shut.

I enjoyed about everything in the post season this 'go around.' I'll remember this season because of tonight's shit show.

I hope this remains in the news for a few days.

On a different note stolen from another convo...choked.

Fleetwood choked today.

Bush league from the umpires from that small clip I saw. Maybe there was more to it but good lord you talk about serving the MCWS championship up on a platter this was the case for the Whos.
Schnall questioned the count and blue said 0-1, which was ridiculously high and that’s when he told him that was 3 that he had missed. Ump got in his feelings and ran him. Schnall came out to question as to “why” without any type of warning that’s when the ump with 2 left feet tripped and gave Schnall 2 more games. The 1st base coach threw his 2 cents in and got run as well. Really put the Chants behind the 8 ball.
