| SPRTSBK đź’˛ 2024 RTB Sportsbook: Everyone has a hiccup

@It Takes Eleven this is sorta funny.

There's a guy I know that has an appliance repair/parts store in Summerville. It's in a strip mall, in the back end's ass of nowhere. He "closes" from about 11 'til 1 because he's eating. Now, his door is still open. You can walk in and ask about things...but, he's eating. He has to be in his 70's now...

His food? All Gullah based. It's just who he is...down to the accent. One of his family members own's Nigel's. They call it "Southern Cuisine" but it's Gullah cooking.

Now we are talking about my stove...when you have been critical of my "taste" in food lately. That's why @Brandon Van de Graaff is our food critic.

It seems like it's all the same conversation.

I wasn't critical of your food, just your territorial nature.

We're heading out today, but last night we had a progressive taco dinner - pork, chicken, brisket - between the three houses, each with a signature cocktail. I settled on El Diablo for our offering - tequila, blackcurrant liqueur, lime juice, ginger beer. Easy to prep the first three ingredients into a large container, then just pour about three ounces over ice and finish with the ginger beer. Sol beer and Tepache (pineapple cider, essentially) rounded out the Mexican fare.

I went to Memphis and had Kansas City BBQ.
I had a Low country Boil when I wasn't in the Lowcountry.

You're talking with a guy who is a bit obsessive, often wanders on subjects, and felt the need to bitch about something. Food is a good place to start.

This damn circle we are in.

I mention in the Labor Day thread about marinating a rib eye in a raspberry vinaigrette. I made it with something very similar.

That sounds REALLY GOOD!

Already knew that. Bet GT and BC. BC was easy. They had GT-FSU film. FSU had nothing. Couldn't even use 2023 film on BC. BOB wasn't in charge of them in 2023. No way in hell FSU could prepare for that game.
May have been one of the easiest reads I've seen in my life. It only ranks against ND in the NC against Bama.

Even then I wasn't gonna take BC because I wasn't sure what BOB was gonna do in 2nd half and he almost gave the game away by allowing FSU to come back almost.
But he was going to cover the 17 points before FSU made the adjustments and evened the game out. I wasn't sure he could hold on for a win but there was no way he was losing by 17. Didn't bet BC to win. Should have.

To win? No.

If I were twelve beers down and betting I'd take FSU right now on the Memphis game. But I'm not.
