Alabama and coach Nick Saban will take to the podium at the College Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday of SEC Media Days week, while Auburn and coach Gus Malzahn get their turn on Thursday.

The SEC announced that the 2018 version of SEC Media Days, which will take place in Atlanta after years in Hoover, Alabama, will take place at the College Football Hall of Fame from July 16 to July 19.

An SEC release Thursday confirmed what SEC commissioner Greg Sankey announced in December. The Hall of Fame will be home to the coaches' primary press conferences and serve as the live broadcast headquarters for both ESPN and the SEC Network.

The Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center, which is connected to the Hall of Fame, is the host hotel for the event and will house Radio Row.

The 2018 event will mark the first time SEC Media Days will be held outside the Birmingham, Alabama, area since 1985.

College Football Playoff national champion Alabama and coach Nick Saban is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18.

Auburn and coach Gus Malzahn, meanwhile, will follow Thursday.

In December, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey announced the eventwould be held in Atlanta.

The SEC Media Days had been held in Hoover at the Wynfrey Hotel for the past 17 years. Both the SEC and the Wynfrey had been operating on year-to-year contracts, as reported by AL.com in July.

At the time of the December announcement, Sankey added that the move was not permanent and left the door open to return to Hoover or to move on to other locations throughout the conference's footprint.
