🏈 2017 class:the best freshman class that has enrolled at Bama since Saban's arrival

Per Andrew Bone:

I am sure some of you have read reports regarding the freshmen on here or elsewhere. Just wanted to drop a few things I heard today. Possibly some old stuff, but this was the response when I asked someone in the know today about the freshmen.

-By far the best freshman class that has enrolled at Bama since Saban's arrival. We'll know more once they all hit the field, but there is not one player the staff regrets signing in February. Scott Cochran has been very impressed throughout the summer with this freshman class.

-Markail Benton has looked very good. He has dropped weight, and looks the part. Alabama is impressed with his progress.

-Kedrick James has really showed out this summer. Alabama loves his size, explosiveness and athleticism. A decision on his future position has not been decided. Alabama will move him around a little bit once fall camp begins- tight end and defensive end.

-Henry Ruggs was incredible throughout the entire summer. Very explosive. Elite speed. He will get on the field this fall without a doubt.

-Alabama continues to be blown away by Dylan Moses and Najee Harris. Tua Tagovailoa, Chris Allen, VanDarius Cowan, Phidarian Mathis, LaBryan Ray, Alex Leatherwood were all singled out in terms of players who looked great this summer.

Very happy to hear this. Happier for the guys themselves, as coming to Alabama these days is intimidating ad walking into Google or Facebook for a job interview.

Was very excited we got Ruggs, so very excited to hear he's doing well. Vandarius Cowan was another guy that looks like a college junior and one I'm excited about. Moses and Najee were givens, so thrilled they're on campus and working hard.

I have been especially excited since 16 of them enrolled early and showed out during the spring. To hear that a few of the ones who weren't there are doing the same this summer makes me believe we are going to have a great fall camp.

That he knew Dylan Moses was going to be a **** when he was in 8th grade...

Remember, he committed to LSU in his 9th grade year. Everyone knew he was a bad ads then.

Side note: Who cares if a kid gets offered in 8th grade? Some are just cut from a different cloth...

All about size, speed, and strength at that age. They stand out above everyone by far. You can be taught the rest. But I totally understand what you're saying. Would have challenged Najee for #1 had he stayed at running back. They penalized him for switching to linebacker. Still a five star, but he's seriously sticking it to everyone that said he should go back to tailback.
