I completely agree. but i also heard something about phil fulmer, which i also wouldnt mind spanking around a little too.

Ol fRan is at Texas State (formerly Southwest TX St.) as HC...same place, same position, he was in during the 1990-1991 seasons.

Gus Malzahn is already in Arkansas (ArkSt I think). But regardless, where ever he is can't have too high of a buy out clause.

Jeff Long, the UArk AD, is close to the vest when it comes to what he's thinking. It does seem they are intent on hiring within. Which, is probably the best move.

It has the potential to be a real mess. There is a thread asking which coach fans want to take over the IHC position and out of the two choices the one Long has in place isn't even mentioned. Now, I realize the thread carries no weight. But, it does give you an indication of what the fans are thinking.

If the AD follows the same thought process as the fans and replaces Petrino with a guy other than the one he put in charge over the spring? That seems like a pot waiting to boil over.

Taking this to another level. This means Arkansas now has eight, instead of nine, coaches on the road recruiting. They've been an enigma recently being as highly ranked as they have been at the end of the season and as low as they have been in recruiting. That was the Petrino factor. Minus that?

There's statistical evidence pointing to Arkansas as a team that is looking at seven or eight wins in 2012.
