I was a young lad on North Poplar St. in Florence, AL when this game was played. I watched it with my dad, and it was the I-get-it-now game for me. I remember Woody Hayes punching a cameraman after the game. Is my recollection correct here? I also remember an Ohio State player slapping a Bama player and drawing a penalty. Anyway, it's the game that hooked me on Bama football.
As many of you know I'm in enemy territory (along with Alabama Mike), and my buckeye acquaintances are positively giddy about the forthcoming melee, and they have already started talking smack. I'm getting texts by the bushel.
I have been replying thus:
I wonder what the score was?
It's working wonders.
