🏈 15 years of Saban

Like many of you, I remember the day that Coach Saban was introduced as the head football coach at Alabama and I recall being so excited. A very good friend of mine (Michigan fan) asked what my expectations were and I said “if he stays just 10 years, I will be happy”. “I think we can get at least two championships during that time, maybe three”. Little did I know we would see 8 SEC championships, 6 national championships and 4 Heisman winners!

This ride has been surreal but I digress…..time for cup of coffee number two.

I remember all the talking heads saying he won't stay for more then 3-4 years then he'll find somewhere else to go. After year 5, some of them were still talking like he was going to leave in another year or 2. And I remember them saying how, if he won another national championship in 2017, he'd be gone because he'd have tied Bear Bryant.

Well, he tied him, he got 1 more than him.....and he's still here. And he's poised to get another 1.

Yes it has been awesome! I absolutely love it! Great times being a Bama fan! Don’t know when it will all end but, I’ll enjoy it all until it does! Roll Tide Coach Saban!

Yeah, my buddy and I who attend games together, we've had this same awesome discussion every year for the past ten years about how lucky we've been to have the best two college coaches in history.

And I can add...i got to goto so many games in 60s. And now for Sabans time...

And got to meet both...
