If the BCS polls came out today the only way that Bama would not be ranked #2 behind Texas is if Texas were to be ranked #7 or worse on the still unreleased Peter Wolfe Poll. Mr. Slim T. Nunn still holds out hope.
However, barring significant change in the computer standings, all that it takes for Bama to over take Texas next week with the BCS poll actually doe begin is for Bama to have a good enough showing relative to Texas to over take the Longhorns in either the Coaches Poll or the Harris Interactive.
We are that close.
