I work with his mom, and she has a huge grin this morning. I told her I was going to get her a "Johnny Who" button, and she very modestly said that she was just glad he had played well.

My opinion of course, but I think that if our basedall program hadn't hit bottom when we recruited him, he would be in crimson now.

See, I thought it was because Saban did not want him playing both baseball and football.

^^ That was my understanding, Saban doesn't want players doing the dual sport thing (for good reason) and that was a big contributing factor to him picking FSU.

In the end the father made the decision on where Jameis was going to school. While baseball was part of the equation it wasn't the driving force that kept his dad following FSU's lead.
