They actually suspended a guy for a "low block", yet the SEC does nothing about a rash of dirty chop blocks, and, yes I'll say it, the low block on Hightower. The SEC needs to step up. They'll police end zone celebrations, but not dirty hits that can cause serious personal injury.

If you haven't seen it, watch the replay of the hit by the Buffalo player. It was a late hit from behind, well after and away from the play following an interception. It has no relation to blocking during a game at or near the point of attack.

In an unrelated rant, I think legal blocks have gotten blurred in the current rage to call everything dirty and illegal if it's below the waist. Blocking below the waist is legal in many cases, and it always will be just as a tackle below the waist is legal.
