I'll never forget
The day that I heard the news
Bear Bryant has died
Funny, I thought he'd refuse
I watched as they laid him to rest
In ol' Alabama
Oh, how I cried
The day Bear Bryant died

I was 9 years old when Coach Bryant passed away. I cried like an infant. It had been my dream to play football at Alabama for him since I had turned 5. As it turned out, I did receive the chance to walk on at BAMA. I took it after every other school bailed when I tore my rotator cuff.

I am going to go by his grave and take some 2009 National Championship gear, like the Cokes, the commemorative magazines, Ingram's Heisman pics, shirts, etc. and take some photos.

Really? Sorry, but why?

Remember a great man for what he did and stood for. Why make his final resting place a photo collage for the 2009 season?

I praise him for what he did and gave to the University. I was 9 when he passed away.

I know I'm gonna get flamed on this one.

Just for my own personal collection. Kind of a "thank you" to the man who paved the way. That's all.

Did I hit a nerve? Seriously, and I know not everybody sees it this way, but I see it as just putting flowers in his grave. Certainly no disrespect intended to the greatest coach of all times.
